High Places Joins Toro Y Moi at Whitney Live on Friday!
The sky’s the limit for the aptly named Los Angeles based band High Places. This free spirited duo absorbs their everyday surroundings for inspiration; using sight and sound, Mary Pearson (vocalist) and Rob Barber (multi-instrumentalist) create organic melodies that leave you wondering how they were able to mash these sounds together.
Toro Y Moi Kicks Off the Whitney Live Summer Music Series This Friday!
If you haven’t heard of Toro Y Moi, then get ready to take off through a dreamy adventure of hypnotic sounds, funk, house, electronic dance, bass R&B, and just about every other form of music from around the world. His latest album, Leave Everywhere, takes a step beyond electronics and instead engulfs the listeners with the grainy, old school sounds of real instruments.
